Mayor of Auburn



On 9 December 1902, the New York Times took note of the passing of John S. Fowler:

"John S. Fowler died at Auburn, N.Y., yesterday, aged eighty-one years. He was formerly mayor of Auburn, was Chairman of the of Board of State Assessors for ten years, and for twelve years was Deputy Postmaster. He had been prominently identified with Republican politics."
